9. Be Happy. You were meant to be happy; you were created to have joy. Your body thrives in a happy atmosphere, so choose to be happy. Happiness not only makes you feel good, but it also keeps cortisol levels down and increases feel-good hormones levels that keep your body running optimally.
All of these are good reasons, but of course, health takes a front seat in this by eating healthy foods. You have to figure out how much weight you need to lose in order to reach your goal. Do you need to lose 5, 10 or 20 pounds? If you have much weight to lose, instead of focusing on the end number, set a first goal of five or 10 pounds.
For a toned tummy: Sit tall and straighten the spine. Then clench the abdominal muscles as tightly as possible, pulling the navel into the spine. Hold for one to five seconds, and repeat for a total of 20 times. Do at least three times daily.
While a time of shedding and then learning to feel good again is no easy process, it can be better accepted in looking at all you are becoming. Be kind to yourself as you stretch. Give yourself the room you need to grow. Cry or scream if you need to, but also slow down enough to examine who you want to be and where you want to go next. Above all, trust in the unfailing timing of the Universe and the surety of your ever-growing personal power.
